The Assassins have nearly gotten me a few times!
Anyone who rides motorcycles has many stories of close calls. It's a rare day when I'm going through town that I don't have to take some evasive action. Thankfully its mostly just a small move. Twice last summer I did end up locking up the brakes to avoid some idiot turning in front of me. Believe me I let them know about it too.

Harley’s days are numbered
Ok.

Could you elaborate some?

I will say that I can't imagine buying a new Harley(just because they are insanely expensive). However, I enjoy the heck out of my 2006 Road King, 1995 Heritage Softail Nostalgia and 1977 Sportster in xr750 replica form. I also have some high performance Jap bikes.

That said, Harley's have a special place in motorcycling. But, that is a 50+ crowd. Agreeing with your comment.

Covid has driven up used bike prices to stupid levels. I believe that will end some day.

I find the older used Harley market full of outstanding buys if you have patience.

As long as you understand what a Harley does and was designed for.....there is nothing better nor can it be duplicated. IMHO.

Kinda answered your own question. Bikes from 2006, 1995, and 1977 aren't going to keep the company alive. It's new bike sales and dealer service.

It’s simple. Harley is out of touch with what the younger people want. Adventure bikes are where it’s at now. To be honest the whole motorcycle industry is hurting now. The younger generations are too big of * to even ride a motorcycle. If it doesn’t have an automatic transmission forget about it.

Adventure bikes you say?
Motorcycles that I just dont understand. Why would anyone want a 600lb dual purpose bike?

They're really just tall, heavy streetbikes for maybe a dirt road.pricey too$$$$$.

I can't imagine thrashing a $20k+ in a creek. Or even dropping it.

I had a 1986 Suzuki SP600 dual purpose bike back in the day. It was tall and heavy. Awful streetbike and terrible trailbike.

Looks like crotch rockets are out. Due to insurance.

I think putting the Harley Pan America motor in a bagger would be something. 150 hp. Cut the price in half and I'd be interested. Upsers are folks who could perhaps afford one.
