Eugene itself is like a mini-Berkeley. Get outside town (not very far), and it's Redneck Central. Don't ask me how I know.

I was born there, and lived there for part of my childhood. You are 100% right, its pretty much one big steaming pile of organic sustainable vegan granola. My mom lives just to the east of there, up in the hills, out where the rednecks are.

You make that sound like it's a bad thing:happy-very:

[h=2]Feinstein: Veterans May Have PTSD And Should Not Be Exempt From Assault Weapons Ban…[/h]

DiFi also makes the bizarre claim that the “advent” of PTSD is a “product of the Iraq War.” Nice try blaming Bush but troops have been suffering from PTSD since the advent of war itself.

SEN. DIANNE FEINSTEIN: If I understand this, this adds an exemption of retired military. As I understand our bill, no issue has arose in this regard during the 10 years the expired ban was in effect and what we did in the other bill was exempt possession by the United States or a department or agency of the United States. So that included active military.
The problem with expanding this is that, you know, with the advent of PTSD, which I think is a new phenomenon as a product of the Iraq War, it’s not clear how the seller or transferrer of a firearm covered by this bill would verify that an individual was a member, or a veteran, and that there was no impairment of that individual with respect to having a weapon like this.

So, you know, I would be happy to sit down with you again and see if we could work something out but I think we have to– if you’re going to do this, find a way that veterans who are incapacitated for one reason or another mentally don’t have access to this kind of weapon.

It just had a different name when it had one. Shellshock.

I saw the Viet Nam guys come back "weird". That was a teenager's word for it then.
DiDi is a fool and proves it every time she opens her mouth.
Just because there were not 4 letters for it does not mean it didn't exist at civil war time and to the beginning of wars.

Since I was never in the military, when I hear artillary and bomb practice at Pendleton, I think of my safety and their concern for me.

Some of their ammo shakes the house like a small E.Q.

No accidents yet that I am aware of. Funny thing on a related subject... one of the most relaxed rifle ranges I have ever been to was on the base. Some of the civilian ones I've been to are totally Fascist by comparison. So much so that I won't go back!

Upgraded my NRA membership from "Life" to "Endowment" today.
Stand and Fight.

I renewed my membership a few weeks ago and subscribed to "Guns and Ammo" magazine. I'm also thinking about getting an iPhone5 and ordering a Magpul case for it that resembles their evil 30 round magazines.

Sucker.

What are you fighting for? Or against, for that matter?

You're wasting your time on this one. Obama supporters are convinced that Barry cares about them and will take care of them.
It's really a sad commentary.
I've got several black co-workers. One of them could only tell me that Barry taught law at Yale and wants to help the little people like Jesus did. I asked him if he knew what socialism is and he said yes. End of conversation.
Sad.

I must be a-typical----I don't want anyone to have guns.
At least you're consistent. I can respect that.

But these people who want to ban firearms for the rest of us, but have them for themselves like they're better than us.... that really pisses me off.
Like those nutbags from California, the two queens of gun control. At least one of them, Boxer, has a license to carry. (Because she's better than us, I guess).
