You making over 100k now, with full benefits, full prescription, vision, dental, medical, 6 weeks vacation, and full pension? Eight more years until retirement if you stayed.

Its all about priorities....some people would rather eat dinner with their family, maybe do sonething more valuable, or be able to see their kids participate in school events etc. Everyone is different. And there are plenty of jobs with good benefits that make 80+k a year. Dont act like UPS is the holy grail...

But but butt, here lies the problem :

oh ok, gotcha. I hear some upsers had trouble reading anything that was more than an address.

Some aren't dedicated enough to pursue anything else than this easy, no college ~degree needed job.

or they already invested enough time to not turn back to what they were passionate about before they don the brownie uniform.

GLad u had the means & degree to move on

PS, do drivers get tuition reimbursement as well ? goto a PT vocational school or online university and challenge thy mind besides humping cardboard 60 hours a week will be an option if i have a brownie uniform, but alas, i went to team eggplant

They won't give me money and I'm a ft driver. Don't know if it's different at other centers.

I doubt if drivers get tuition reimbursement. It is an enticement for PT to make up for the low wages. Just like the weekly bonus for PT.

But but butt, here lies the problem :

unless they changed the program, only PT were given any tuition assistance not FT, I was also a vet from way back and had the GI bill to help me out with paying tuition before entering UPS. I took the job there to have a place to work while I was looking for the job I wanted. I stayed longer than I thought I would, but If you are dedicated enough start today and make a plan 'remember Rome wasn't built in a day'. Dedicate everyday to get closer to your plan. We are all humans but eliminate any negative thinking and route that energy to completing your plan. Just my opinion.

Compared to a lot of jobs, it is. Ask the FedEx folks.
