I doubt if drivers get tuition reimbursement. It is an enticement for PT to make up for the low wages. Just like the weekly bonus for PT.

It has nothing to do with the low wages.

Neither does the bonus.

They are both in place to make sure people show up to work.

Compared to a lot of jobs, it is. Ask the FedEx folks.

Compared to non useful college degree jobs. But if you have a degree in a hard science or healthcare field you can make money on par with or much more that UPS....Drivers always look at their total compensation for the year and say see! I made like 20k more than that guy who went to school for biology....but they always forget they work 50 some odd hours a week and have crappy holiday schedules (soon to be weekend shifts). I'll take a 70k a year 9-5 job with weekends and holidays off doing something interesting or something you really like over a 90k a yeah slave labor, back breaking, treated like crap, stressful 50+ hour work week, repetitive job. (If you enjoy it then I'm happy for you)

Do t get me wrong UPS is a great job and I'm thankful for it everyday. Some people enjoy it and that's great! just don't bash people and tell them they care idiots for leaving the "best" job in the world to do something they might like better. Nothing wrong with that.
