That's why I got my Colt in 357. If I already had reloading equipment, that'd be one thing. But when the hell am I going to shoot 45 Colt?

Reloading is pretty easy if you have easy calibers. You just need to be cautious with the charges. It's easy to double charge a 357 when using compact powders like Accurate #5.

I'd probably go with a Governor instead if I went that route so I'd have the option to shoot 45acp too.

Maybe one of those WWI S&W relics would suit you . They were made to shoot 45ACP with those half moon clips.

30 Luger is really rare too. Haven't seen any on the shelf in 20 years or more.

That's mostly what I shoot out of it. Costs a little more than 9 but not bad at all.

Easy peasy for straight wall pistol cartridges. Bottlenecks are a lot more work. I only do that for rifle cartridges.
Very few factory loads for .45 Long Colt. Also loaded very mild for older revolvers. You can do a lot better with your own handloads.

Not really. You could spend a lot more for fancier equipment but there are cheaper options. Mostly slower is the drawback. Not a problem unless you are reloading a boatload of ammo.
Lee Turret Press is slower than a progressive press but still good and a lot cheaper for example.
And you can add extra equipment gradually. Not absolutely required but can make reloading quicker, easier, or for more accurate ammo.

Nah. I use all lee stuff. I’ve got MAYBE $200 in it. You can always find somebody wanting to upgrade.
