Gotta love it when a person that is forced to sleep in his car posts over and over again how the company should had followed his plan when it comes to pensions. Number 1 rule in life. Never take financial advice from someone who sleeps in a car.
Is it okay to take advice from people who pretend their wife won the lottery?

It will be fine

So could you afford $7k out of pocket for each of your drivers? The thing about you liberal socialist types is you're always wanting everyone else to do this or that with their money but you never put up any of your own. A load of B.S.
No I could not afford that. I don’t have an extra half million dollars laying around. I think you’ve made it clear why you are living in your car with this type of grasp of finances.

A union would fix all of this! You will always get what u pay for.
You think so? Go cruise the UPS side of the forum and see how 'happy' they are. They put up with more crap than you think. Also, if you saw my other post, the IBT is going broke. Here's 2 links if you don't believe me.

On a side note. My kids are older now (college age). But, when they were little, I never missed a swim meet, recital, volleyball game/tournament and I was home, except PEAK, in time for dinner every night. Most UPS drivers can't say that.

You net personally $180k. You've got 10 drivers. You could give each $7k as a personal gift, no taxes involved. You've still got $110k free and clear. Why can't you?

You really want to keep doubling down on stupid. You think I should give my post tax income to my employees? That’s an even dumber idea than giving them raises. Stick to van dwelling where you have experience.

Yeah, I think you should set an example because you more than anyone have been pushing Socialism over on Current Events. Let's see you redistribute some wealth comrade.

OK, we get it. Your system is designed to keep your employees in the just scraping by category. Sure you may OFFER insurance but I'll bet the cost of the premiums would suck up half of a driver's weekly paycheck. I don't even want think about what the deductibles are.

Only a few guys opt out of insurance. It costs them $30-50/week, deductible is either $6k or $2k depending on the plan they choose. You guys complain about things you don’t have any knowledge or understanding of, it’s very strange.

It is strange, you and FedEx. Politics really does make for strange bedfellows.

Ups pension is company owned not ibt. Been that way for several years now. Happy? What does the majority of FedEx people sound like on this site? Hmm. I just hope it’s ups that takes us over one day. It would b nice to top out, hv a pension, excellent health care again.

Amazon will buy us first, since we're acting like Kmart on wheels as of late!

Non-union yes. Drivers pension is held by the IBT locals.
