That entry level job at FedEx isn't some guy sweeping up after everyone has gone home. It's the entire reason for the company's existence. Stop salving your conscience over how you're participating in exploiting others for your benefit.
My conscience is clear, my workers aren’t exploited. They are free to come and go as they please. If they are willing and able to better their situation with a better job I wish them well. That doesn’t change the reality of the labor market. Companies pay employees enough to maintain their staff and no more. Companies exist for profit, they’re not charities.

Really? What shareholders do you have a fiduciary responsibility to? Just yourself if you're an independent contractor.

Do you think only publicly traded corporations exist for profit?
Your little privately held company exists to put as much money as possible into your pockets in spite of the struggles your employees go through. If you gave a damn you'd give all of them say $7k raises next year out of your pocket.

You say plenty of stupid things but that’s up there. That would bankrupt my company and no one would have jobs. You shouldn’t talk about corporate finances if this is your level of understanding.

Good lord sorry

its definitely a loophole. There’s no reason for a FedEx Courier to be under the RLA and a UPS driver be under the NLRA. Both out on the road doing the exact same job. It’s a loophole. FedEx Express is an airline but the drivers are not airport employees. They’re truck drivers. We’re going to be under the NLRA at some point here soon.
The RLA/NLRA issue is based on the operations of the company, not the 'final mile' employee. Since Ground and Express are kept separate, that's what it's based on
He's such a hard worker though! Surely his superior work ethic would be of better use to the company if he were ft!
Maybe better use to the company, but not him. Maybe he doesn't want to be full time

If so tell us how much do you personally gross a year? $150k? $200k? I bet you could pay your drivers an extra $7k a year out of your pocket. Whether you'd be willing to is another story.

But he's such a superior worker to everyone else ! People are all lazy but him. Sounds to me like he should put up or shut up.

Most old farts are the biggest hypocrites I have ever worked with. Anyone voicing an opinion is a whiner, meanwhile they have to take one stop out of their loop and you'd think someone was trying to steal their first born.
They got their cushy living wage handed to them through no merit of their own, and then look down on people who are fighting and scraping to get by as “entitled.” These are the same kind of people who scream at drive thru workers for forgetting a ketchup packet and then complain about how entitled millennials are.

I do well for myself. I also put in several decades to build my company. The latest Covid peak revenue surge significantly changed my company. I could have pocketed a lot of that money. Instead I added employees and promoted a few veterans to lead driver roles. This allows everyone in my organization to have easier routes and more available time off. Your tiny brain view of corporate budgets would run my company into the ground. You have less understanding than Bacha.

Easy to laugh at those that sleep in their car.
So, again, it's ok for you to judge others but you shouldn't be judged?

Oh, and now I know I have your attention, why do you keep dodging questions like why you lied about leaving BC, or your wife winning the lottery? Why did you create another account when you didn't even try to not act like your old moniker?

Gotta love it when a person that is forced to sleep in his car posts over and over again how the company should had followed his plan when it comes to pensions. Number 1 rule in life. Never take financial advice from someone who sleeps in a car.
So, you're going to dodge my question then?

Why did you lie about your wife winning the lottery and you leaving? I'm guessing your sweet deal pt route was a lie as well.

So could you afford $7k out of pocket for each of your drivers? The thing about you liberal socialist types is you're always wanting everyone else to do this or that with their money but you never put up any of your own. A load of B.S.

Opinions are like you know what, everyone has one. For someone who shoots off his mouth about how he did so well as a FedEx courier you're still at the grindstone in your 60's. I think you're afraid to retire. You may have more money than I do but you aren't free amigo. Enjoy working for Dano.
