Obi-Wan would say that’s not very ChristianI was thinking of the new style terminator in "Terminator 2." Smack him real hard and he oozes back together.
You mistaken knowledge for piety. It is laughable. No one here takes your piety for righteousness. It’s almost laughable.
I thought it was over? of course it’s not over your religious piety consumes you. It’s all you have in life. And it will be all you have. Sad, sad little manYou mistaken knowledge for piety. It is laughable.
No one here thinks your ignorance is funny.
Me, too.I thought it was over? of course it’s not over your religious piety consumes you. It’s all you have in life. And it will be all you have. Sad, sad little man
I have no issue with churches having this kind of list. As a matter of fact, I wish all churches would have a list for all to see. Having said that if you have a big enough issue with the particular path of this church, then it may be time to move to another, and with no doubt let them know exactly why you are leavingA local church that I am a member of has a Church Constitution that contains the following section on Membership:
The membership of the church shall consist of persons who have fulfilled the following requirements:
1. Acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior and baptism by immersion
(sprinkling or pouring is permitted in cases of physical disability)
2. Provide a public profession of faith before the church
3. Completion of church membership class
4. Agree to submit to the teaching of Scripture as expressed in the church’s doctrinal statement (“What We Believe”) and constitution.
5. Have a Hebrews 13:17 attitude towards church leadership
6. Commitment to a biblical lifestyle that brings honor to Jesus Christ
7. Faithfulness in church life:
Consistently attend worship services (exceptions will be made for college students, military personnel, the physically challenged and their caregivers)
Commitment to serve in a ministry of the church
Financially support the church (as able)
Attend members’ meetings and vote either in person or by absentee ballot
An individual shall be received into the church by recommendation of the Elders and by majority vote of the membership at a church meeting. Following approval by the church membership, the right hand of fellowship will be extended by the elders in a worship service or members’ meeting.
The church membership roll is maintained by the Church Clerk. At every annual members’ meeting, the Church Clerk must read aloud members added, transferred, called home to be with the Lord, and removed before the congregation.
I became a member when this church was a local independent Baptist Church. Do you think I should remove myself from membership if I don’t agree with each item in the above section?
I don’t.
Big boned, not fat. I don’t need to discuss religion with you That would be like discussing with peace with Hitler.Me, too.
Your ignorance got the best of me.
A sad ,sad, fat man, 24/7 Brown Cafe Warrior
What do you think? You need one more shot at me because you're too ignorant to actually discuss religion in a religious thread?
I've always thought a good "constitution" for a church would be the Bible. But, that's just my humble pious view.A local church that I am a member of has a Church Constitution that contains the following section on Membership:

Oh, it is. doesn’t mean your definition or you view the context is the right one.I've always thought a good "constitution" for a church would be the Bible. But, that's just my humble pious view.
A good close.Big boned, not fat. I don’t need to discuss religion with you That would be like discussing with peace with Hitler.what’s the point?
I always thought being a good Christian man actually trying to be like Jesus doing the things Jesus did instead of just quoting them. But why do I know?I've always thought a good "constitution" for a church would be the Bible. But, that's just my humble pious view.
You bet religion has its problems! As I have noted the Church of Christ imo has its issues. But they do strive to worship the way New Testament Christians did. We don't have authorization to do whatever we like so people should consider whether what they're doing is ok with God. If you feel it's ok to have a band in your worship service or you can't do without an organ then that's between you and God. I'm happy to hear a Capella singing.
woo..there you go again.Oh, it is. doesn’t mean your definition or you view the context is the right one.
NothingBut why do I know?
Your opinion is just like your butt hole. Everyone has one. Yours is just smellier than most.woo..there you go again.
I'm not allowed to have a definition of what I believe is the right one?
Why have a thread? I mean, if everybody is right in whatever you think...The church of Integrity
So, Jesus never called out false teaching?I always thought being a good Christian man actually trying to be like Jesus doing the things Jesus did instead of just quoting them. But why do I know?
You’re not Jesus. Your discernment and credibility are garbage so really no need to listen to you on these matters. The racist, memes I’ll definitely look to you. You got the market cornered you’re the best at it.So, Jesus never called out false teaching?
I retired two and a half years ago to a small rural community and have yet been able to find the right church to join out here. For now we are with the one we moved away from. Have been with them for 15 yearsI've always thought a good "constitution" for a church would be the Bible. But, that's just my humble pious view.
