Only he believes that wide gate leads to Heaven.
It’s kind of like the Pied Piper story.

It would be so much easier if it was the wide gate let’s just lie to ourselves and pretend we can do it that way I’m sure, nothing bad will happen….
Let’s tell everyone that they can do nothing wrong and that everything they do God will approve of. Let’s talk of his love and take the book out of context and not explain what happens when we don’t follow his plan for us . And if anyone questions our choices and points out that that might be something that is damming., well you can just call them a fundamentalist or legalist. Etc. etc..

Sometimes being a good Christian values is telling another brother or sister in Christ that they are wandering on the wrong path.

Iron sharpens iron.

Instead of reading that long soliloquy I clicked to see what kind of other stories this person writes.

I would just say I’m not shocked that you read it.

This person wants to proclaim science as his god. Also Believes there are many paths. And thinks Christian needs to change, what they believe about the Bible.

He’s not the first to believe that. Because many people will believe that because it makes it easier for them. That way they can do whatever they want and justify. They can try to make the gate as wide as they want, but the truth is…..

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.”
Does a narrow gate limit the total number that can go through, or does it limit the number that can go through at one time?

Don’t see the point to your saying this but ok.

I've been saying the same thing and you've been telling me that I worship a book and have replaced God with it.

And you say you understand scripture yet you disagree with it. You constantly quote men who speak on Christianity yet say the ones who wrote the Bible were just men who weren't inspired by God to write what they did. You say God tells you directly what to do but don't give the men who wrote the Bible the same consideration that God directed them. What God tells you matters but if they wrote something you disagree with then it couldn't have possibly come from God therefore they're just men who are giving us wrong information. Thus they lied to us.

You are living a rich fantasy life.
I give any authors of the manuscripts that are compiled as the Bible the exact same consideration that I give the likes of Lewis, Murray, Tozer, et al.

Clearly, he has his own personal doctrine. Even though he says he doesn’t believe in that, he is quick to judge you because you believe the Bible. While saying. He doesn’t judge people.
And he has to quote those who believes in the Bible because he has no other basis and he knows that.
I have made the statement many times that he is not a Christian because he does not follow Christ.

That is his choice and I support that. It’s much easier to walk through the wide gate so I understand.
My doctrine is Jesus the Word made flesh, the perfect image of the unseen God.

I judge no man for believing the Bible. I don’t even judge those who mistakenly worship the bible.

I believe it too, I just understand it differently from some. I do find it very useful and it is my favorite of all books.

I know you believe this but do you believe Jesus is the “gate”?
As usual, you put too much emphasis on the wrong thing. The gate only shows you how easily it is to be misled. Because human beings don’t really desire to do things that are difficult. We want things that please our flesh. Every day I have gates to go through. It’s choices. at the end of my life, there will be a judge.
