That's a contradiction. It is my understanding and belief that the bible is the word of God, holy and fallible.
That may be your understanding but not mine. That's a contradiction.
He can’t even understand what holy means. That's a contradiction.
So you have your own vocabulary as well? That may be your understanding but not mine.
If you see it that way, I will not stop you. Do you have a point? So you have your own vocabulary as well?
I certainly do.That may be your understanding but not mine.
Do you believe Jesus is the Word of God?
So, your understanding of the Bible being holy, as you state, which means divine, which means it's from God, is fallible. If it is Holy as you state, you do realize it would be unholy if it contained errors and inconsistencies.I believe Jesus is the Word of God, perfect and infallible. He is the Word made flesh, the perfect image of the unseen God. I put all my faith, hope, trust, and love in Him.
It is my understanding and belief that the bible is the word of God, holy and fallible.
I certainly do.
That may be your understanding, but it is not my understanding. My understanding is that the term holy means set apart. I do agree that the bible is the book of books, consecrated for religious use, however I do believe it is fallible like any other book. I do love the bible. It is my favorite book. So, your understanding of the Bible being holy, as you state, which means divine, which means it's from God, is fallible. What makes it set apart? That may be your understanding, but it is not my understanding. My understanding is that the term holy means set apart. Actually it is not what makes it set apart, it is who consecrated it. You may want to look up the history of the process of the religious of the day selected what to include and exclude. What makes it set apart?

No.So the author is what sets it apart?
I love this.Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith
I'm no scholar on how we got the Bible, but I do know enough about the manuscripts and their compilation.No.
I believe it was set apart by the religious leaders, it was they who set it apart for religious purposes. They decided over time what was to included, compiled, and set apart or consecrated it.
You‘re probably not going to like this but I believe that the bible is a product of God and man.I'm no scholar on how we got the Bible, but I do know enough about the manuscripts and their compilation.
What I'm trying to get a straight answer from you is, is the Bible a product of God or man?
Doesn't matter what I like or don't like. You‘re probably not going to like this but I believe that the bible is a product of God and man.
Are the words that you are writing in this discussion thread a product of God or man?
