I've never been religious, I am spiritual.

I believe they are very important and very useful and beneficial suggestions.

Very useful for showing our impotence apart from the power of the Spirit.

I never said the Bible recorded all that Jesus said and did in his lifetime or before his birth and after his death. And Jesus intercedes on our behalf when we pray to God. But we are never told that Jesus or the Holy Spirit will directly.contact us and speak to us and directly guide us. That he will tell us what we can choose to ignore if we disagree. We must submit to God's will, not bend his will to our wishes.

were thinking of a different definition

they talk about prophets in star wars and the matrix as well. so the meaning is not limited to official religions. we had modern day prophets.

But you are obfuscating. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that Jesus will communicate directly with Christians. The Bible was given to us to know God's will and plan for us. You reject parts of it, write it off as just the writings of men, claim you get direction directly from Jesus. You keep claiming I only accept parts of the Bible yet you've yet to show the parts that say we as Christians will be in direct communication with God and/or Jesus. We're supposed to just accept your word that this happens and if it isn't happening for us then we must have issues with our faith. So please use the Bible to prove your stance on direct communication with God.

The Bible was given to us by God. Where in it, since you have repeatedly said I only accept parts of it, does it say that Christians will have direct communication with God the Father and/or his Son Jesus? If you can't point to it then we have to take it on faith that you talk to God and he to you. And apparently he tells you to reject parts of the Bible.
