Vaccine mandate

UnionStrong

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
No, it's sad. It's sad that she puts herself above the welfare of her daughter and grandkids.

I got the initial shot on my first day of eligibility; in fact, I had to "cheat" the Walgreens website by lying about my age so that I would have an appointment scheduled the next day. I then got the second and the booster as prescribed. The only side effect was a sore arm which was more than offset by my being able to spend time with my family.

Call me a pusillanimous if you want but as a parent and grandparent you sometimes have to do things for your kids that you may not want to. Like sitting through a preschool graduation.
It’s sad that you think the “vaccine” prevents you from getting and transmitting the virus.

You're not a pusillanimous. You have no concept of risk. You're upending your life to avoid a risk that doesn't exist.

Here it is in your own state. https://www.health.ny.gov/press/releases/2022/docs/pediatric_covid-19_hospitalization_report.pdf

PEAK hospitalizations for kids with covid (many of whom aren't even symptomatic and test positive) is 1 per 100,000.

1 per 100,000 at its peak, and not even all those are real!

Read the chart. Stop freaking out. This is official NYS data. They are scaring you for NO reason.

I am retired----30 minutes to get a shot is not going to force me to reschedule my afternoon nap.

But do you then acknowledge that you did it for yourself and not your grandkids?

That might be fine. You're old. You might need the shot.

The risk to your grandkids is ZERO. And your kid who is making seeing the kids contingent on the shot is a psycho.

1 out of every 100,000 kids might go to the hospital and test positive with covid, and half of those aren't symptomatic.

Quick, burn the constitution! Save the grandkids!

Hardly at all----they (daughter and DIL) both work for a major health insurance company.

Never said that it did; however, if I were to "catch it", I know that the symptoms and duration would both be much less severe than if I were unvaccinated.
Great. Be glad you got vaccinated for your own health.

Leave your grandkids out of it, and tell your kid she's a psycho for wanting to protect her kids.

Can we all agree your grandkids are at 0 risk, now? I just gave you your own state's official data. Maybe send it to her.
