That's not general at all. That's exactly why he was sent to earth. Anything you want after that is what you want to add. As usual you are using Jesus to push you political ideals. Reverend Barber is far more concerned about pushing his politics than bringing people to salvation
Matrix and star wars had sacrifice too and jesus like figures and it was political and economic just like the bible.

Ill quote james cone and chris hedges too

its been twisted alright, and it probably typically twisted. you are right about that. i do know because i listen to james cone, william barber, chris hedges

pastor william barber said capitalism values are inequality, prioritizing profits, and neglect of the least of ye. it focuses on individual wealth and competition

christianity is communal well being, sharing, and upliftment of the oppressed
Then practice what you preach. If it's communal then don't cry about the price of houses. Get 15-20 people together and live in one home. All for one and one for all.

Academics that don't have real world experience can rail all day about.the injustice of it all but they don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

When did competition become a bad thing? People strive to bring better goods and services and the consumer benefits.

Competition can be bad

Academics can be very smart too

The bible demands justice

yes. You are taking what you want to hear and use that to try to convince people it's fact even when it's not. A lot of people that claim to be a Christian do it even though they aren't themselves saved and want to follow God. You are both
Its wat i think is true. They couldve said christianity is about giving money to the rich and capitalism and greed and hoarding and i wouldve quoted it here. But its obviously not, if it was that extreme i doubt many ppl would follow it.

I know it's what you think is true. Your heart is in the right place but the motive is not.

This is a good example. This is simply not Christian teachings of the New Testament. Jesus' message did not do this.
You dont believe this?

For claiming to be the Son of God. He was considered by Jewish leaders to be a blasphemer and his popularity posed a threat. It's not as complicated as you try to make it
Why were the jews offended

I dont think its that complicated. Jesus was a popular revolutionary and ppl quite often have bad things happen to them when this happens

where does this say anything about the kind of justice you speak of? When I read that I see have love and mercy to everyone as a humble follower of Christ. When you become saved and thus Christian you promise to take a path that will honor God Himself. His will be done. That includes rich, poor, able, not abled, everyone. That doesn't mean that just because people can be rich that it is necessarily evil. That doesn't mean that capitalism is automatically wrong. It doesn't make socialism right. There are poor and downtrodden people in all types of systems past and present. Jesus didn't care what your politics was, he cared about bringing people to salvation and follow God and God will guide you in your path

Im pretty sure he was left wing

Look up the definition of just. And see if workers being treatedly badly matches.

This sounds pretty radical

The jews were offended because they didn't believe He was what He claimed to be. I guess if that made Him a revolutionary then I guess we can agree there. But to say Jesus went out to overthrow government systems and that it was a sin to be rich then no, that's not why He died (he even said give to Caesar what is Ceasar's). He for sure embraced those who were put down by the general public but His message was not about political uprising; he wanted everyone to come to the Father and gain a path to heaven. That in and of itself was new. You didn't have to be Jewish to come to God. That's what He came to earth for

Of course you think that because you look at everything as political. He was not left or right wing. He is for putting our own desires aside and follow Him and walk in a path that glorifies God. It's why I always emphasize to you how important salvation is.
