By now you must see the disingenuous communication style of @vantexan. IMO it is very similar to the communication style of the Pharisee sect of the times of Jesus.
Yah, if someone points out what you espouse is very different from the Bible then he's a Pharisee. You'd stand by and wait for the police rather than try to stop a grown man from harming a child. Nothing disingenuous about pointing out the flaws in your theology.

@vantexan and I have had disagreements. The last thing I would ever consider him would be like a Pharisee.

Personally, I do not believe witnessing something horrible and doing nothing but calling 911 is an honorable thing to do.

I have no theology, I have only what my Father in Heaven, through His Son Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit teaches me.He has come, He is alive and He is with us. Apart from Him, I am nothing.

You do have theology. It’s just your own. And it appears it can change whenever you feel you’ve heard something different from what you say is the Holy Spirit.

I have already pointed out your struggles with people actually say. You even misquote yourself.
As I pointed out last June, you put your answers inside my post so that I couldn't reply to you. So I'll type out the post here. Your replies will be in parentheses. You originally had them in bold face.

"Why don't you answer the question? (I thought I did.) If a child is being molested and you're aware of it will you try to stop it?(No.) Will you tell the molester what he's doing is evil and wrong?(No.)

See it is my belief you are simply a victim of the straw man.

As the Holy Spirit leads I would be less interested in the simple no to a direct question obviously meant to attempt to discredit or entrap and I would be more interested in the actual context of the actual question.

What actual real life situation or circumstance would one be in to be witness to the crime stated in the question or even ask that question?

Could one truthfully answer this question without having this information at least in part?

That may be your understanding but it is not mine. I have no theology, I have a relationship with God through His risen and living Son Jesus, who bodily left us so His Spirit, the Holy Spirit of God could come and work in and through us.

That is my understanding at least.

I answered your direct question directly, openly, and honestly.

I fail to see the word intervene in your question?

It's a simple question. If you observe anyone being harmed in any way do you attempt to stop it? If you see a bully picking on a much smaller kid do you tell him to knock it off? But what is extraordinary to me is your unwillingness to condemn evil. We had that discussion last June because you were saying that parents shouldn't be protesting at school board meetings. I pointed out why they were protesting including inappropriate material in school libraries. You asked me who determines what is obscene? That some parents might be fine with graphic depictions of sexual intercourse and other sex acts. You had no problem pointing out you thought the Baptist position on women participating in Church leadership was wrong yet you have taken a hands off approach to the sexualization of children in schools. That's what led me to ask you about the hypothetical scenario of stopping harm sexually being done to a small child. And you're trying to deflect back onto me rather than admit that your view(as it appears to me)is just about anything goes because it wouldn't be happening if it wasn't in God's plan. That God doesn't make mistakes so he has his reasons for it to be happening so you aren't going to intervene. That's what I've gleaned from your often evasive answers.

You are too much my friend.

I need to pray(talk to God)about this. I will respond if that’s what I believe he wants.

You've said so yourself that you won't stop it. Glad to see your position has changed.
IMO your question was a poor question. My position on your direct question has not changed my answer is still no.

What circumstances or situations have you been in or have place yourself in to be personal witness to the crime you have described? I will pray for you.

Had you asked me if I would intervene? Then I would have saI’d yes and based upon the limited context that you provided my intervention would have been to call 911.

When I was 27 I had a delivery to an office in downtown Seattle. When I arrived the secretary of that office had just returned from lunch. She was in her car, door open, and four street bums were at the door. One was about a 6'6" Native American who was touching her and talking dirty to her. She looked very scared. I had a milk crate that I had my documents in. Emptied it and walked over to them with the intention to use the crate upside their heads. I asked if there was a problem and they took a look at me and walked away. The Indian was angry but the other three pushed him along. I'm no hero, just the guy who came along at that moment.
